- Composite of 44 CDC PLACES adult-health measures (chronic disease, behavioral risk, prevention). High = worse overall adult health.
- Cancer IncidenceUSCS · SEER + NPCR
- Age-adjusted all-sites cancer incidence per 100k, 2019–2023. High = higher incidence.
- Drinking-Water ContaminationEPA SDWA · ECHO
- EPA Safe Drinking Water Act health-based violations, trailing 5 years, pop-weighted per water system. High = more violations.
- MortalityCounty Health Rankings + NCI
- Composite of premature death (YPLL-75), all-cause age-adjusted, suicide, overdose, and inverted life expectancy. High = higher mortality.
- Social Determinants (SDOH)AHRQ SDOH Database
- Composite of income, education, housing burden, food access, insurance, and commute. High = worse socioeconomic conditions.
- Obesity PrevalenceCDC PLACES · adult
- Adult age-adjusted obesity prevalence (BMI ≥ 30). High = higher obesity prevalence.
- Air QualityEPA AQS · 2024
- Composite of median AQI, % unhealthy days, and p90 AQI from EPA monitoring stations (~996 counties). High = worse air. Counties without a monitor show as no-data.
