Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2026 · Phase 1 draft

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using any Alpine DataWorks product, API, or website (collectively, the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are accessing the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Services.

2. Services Description

Alpine DataWorks provides pre-computed intelligence objects — named, versioned data products delivered via API — derived from publicly available sources including federal statistical agencies, regulatory filings, and licensed data feeds. During the Phase 1 period, access is granted on an invitation or early-access basis only.

3. Permitted Use

You may use the Services to:

  • Integrate intelligence objects into your own products or internal workflows.
  • Build, test, and deploy AI agents that call the Alpine DataWorks API.
  • Analyze outputs for research, strategy, or business-decision support.

You may not resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw API responses as a standalone data product, nor may you reverse-engineer the scoring methodology beyond what is disclosed in the public driver documentation.

4. Account and API Keys

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly at contact if you suspect unauthorized use. Alpine DataWorks reserves the right to revoke credentials that are misused or shared contrary to these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All intelligence objects, schemas, scoring models, and related documentation are the proprietary work of Alpine DataWorks. Underlying public-domain source data retains its original licensing. Your use of the Services does not transfer any ownership of Alpine DataWorks intellectual property to you.

6. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available." Alpine DataWorks makes no warranty that outputs will be accurate, complete, or timely for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alpine DataWorks shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Services. See our Data Disclaimer for additional limitations specific to data use.

7. Modifications

Alpine DataWorks may update these terms as the product matures. We will notify active users of material changes via email or an in-product notice. Continued use after notice constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Cook County, Illinois, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement at any time. Alpine DataWorks may suspend or revoke access immediately for violations of these terms or the Acceptable Use Policy. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.
